2008 Summer Icon Painting Workshop
June 2 - 6
Haven's Center
In this five-days workshop, each participant will create an 11" x 14" icon of Christ Almighty using the traditional Byzantine technique of egg-tempera and 23kt. gold leafing.
The participants will be guided towards discovery of the secrets of the ancient technique of icon painting so that they will reach a more complete understanding and appreciation of this art.This class will also elaborate the theological and spiritual dimensions of icons as visual aids in
leading both the painter and those who view and venerate the icons deeper into the spiritual life of the Church.

Cost & Payment method:
The cost of the workshop is $655 plus $95 for supplies (11” x 14” gessoed panel, a set of earth pigments and 5 brushes).
